My Experience as a Skinny Hardgainer

Speaking from the personal experience of a skinny hardgainer with 11 years of muscle training under his belt, I can tell you off the bat that hardgainers are a very real phenomenon. If you have the misfortune of being one (such as myself) and wish to shape yourself into a core of muscular glory, you need to first understand that conventional dieting and training may not benefit us the way it does for many beautiful bodies out there.

Now here’s my story. I started strength and weight training in high school (at a time of puberty where you expect testosterone to be most active ). During that time, I was religiously following the dieting and training methods used by the ripped and muscular bodies in my school gym. After about3 months, some of the regular faces in the gym started to witness astonishing results. Me? Still a pathetic 100lbs. I clearly wasn’t impressed. The even more frustrating part was that I stuck to a “disciplined diet, while those who attained easy results continued to eat junk food. It honestly didn’t make any sense to me at all.

Taking things into perspective, I spent a significant amount of time researching and finally found the reason. It’s pretty harsh but it’s scientific: inherent genetic factors play a big role in determining your ability to gain muscle mass. More precisely, the key factors that affect your muscle building are metabolism rates (both catabolic and anabolic). These also involve crucial factors like hormonal production such as testosterone and growth hormones that are not directly within our control.

Sounds like end of the world? Thankfully no, for I also found that we can optimize these factors to the best of our genetic ability through the correct training and dieting methods.

Get a Training Program for Hardgainers

In order for us to break through the hardgainer obstacle, its best to follow training programs that are catered and suited to teaching you how to gain lean muscle mass for skinny hardgainers. I’ve personally invested thousands over the years on supplements, weight dieting plans and training programs.

For the same reasons most people will bother spending money on such guides, I find it painfully hard to come up with a good training plan on my own. I would much rather spend a little to learn from the best than waste precious time gathering bits and pieces of information from god knows where. Fishing for information isn’t exactly the most enjoyable hobby to develop, especially when you don’t even have a clear idea of what you’re looking for. Among all of these I’ve found that a particular few stood out and have given me incredible muscle mass gaining results. Even more encouraging is the fact that these guides have proven tremendously effective for several skinny people that I have been training. Hopefully by sharing with you the programs that worked for me, you will be able to save the thousands of dollars I could have.

Here’s an example of a good training guide that covers all the essential areas on how to gain lean muscle mass with skinny people. It also comes with great strategies and programs designed to help fat people lose weight and gain lean muscle mass.
